A guide to levels
Pupils achieving 7+ A*-C are expected to take 4 AS levels, or BTEC / Applied equivalents, in Lower 6th.
Pupils who do not achieve these grades can make an appointment via the school office to arrange an interview with the Principal. If successful you will be expected to take 3 qualifications, and complete the CoPE Level 3 Award (Certificate of Personal Effectiveness). This qualification is worth 16 UCAS points.
Pupils can take a combination of AS Levels and BTECs or Applied courses to a maximum of four subjects. Pupils should get advice from teachers and the Head of Careers before making their choices.
I joined St. Louis from St. Columban’s and I felt that I fitted in right away. In my AS year I managed to get three distinctions in ICT! .
