Caring for others is a strong theme prevalent throughout the generations of students that have attended St. Louis Grammar School, Kilkeel. Current students at St. Louis without question have once again stepped up to the mark by responding to the plight of millions in war-torn Ukraine.

As part of their Personal development lessons during Lent, Mrs Grant’s 11JG Tutor class decided to raise funds for Ukraine, getting involved in Global Citizenship in a fun yet beneficial way. They came up with a variety of activities Bingo, Puc Fada, Penalty Throw, Quizes and ‘Guess the number of eggs in the Jar’.

A cheque for £251.41 was presented to local fundraiser Sylwia Menzyk to help in her efforts to continue to send lorries of supplies to the area. Sylwia has agreed to return to St. Louis and update our students on the plight of the people in the Ukraine.
